This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on seanoor.market (the "Marketplace") and how you can control them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. It allows the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember preferences and improve performance. We also use technologies that work in a similar way, such as localStorage, sessionStorage and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Marketplace to operate and cannot be disabled. They include:
seanoor_token— authentication for logged-in buyers (set on sign-in, expires on sign-out).sn_admin_session— administrator session cookie for the back-office panel.cart_session— preserves the contents of your cart across page reloads.language— stores your language preference (English or Arabic) for the Marketplace.
2.2 Functional
These improve your experience but the Marketplace will work without them.
view_mode— remembers whether you prefer the grid or list view on product listings.recently_viewed— keeps a short list of products you viewed recently, on your device only.
2.3 Analytics (only with consent)
We may use first-party analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. These cookies generate statistical reports about how the Marketplace is used and do not identify you personally.
2.4 Marketing (only with consent)
If you opt in, we may use cookies to measure the performance of marketing campaigns. We do not load third-party advertising trackers without your explicit consent.
3. Managing your preferences
When you first visit the Marketplace, a banner asks you to consent to non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time from /legal/cookie-settings or by clearing the cookies in your browser. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Marketplace from working correctly.
4. Third-party services
Where we embed content provided by third parties (for example a payment gateway iframe), those services may set their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies. We list the relevant third parties in our Privacy Policy.
5. Retention
The retention period of each cookie depends on its purpose. Strictly necessary session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent functional cookies are typically kept for up to twelve (12) months unless you delete them sooner.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "effective date" at the top of the policy identifies the version in force.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies should be sent to sales@seanoor.market.
